Count Me In is a nonprofit lending and learning organization that raises money to make loans between $500-$10,000 to qualified women who have nowhere else to turn for that all important first business loan. The first on-line micro-lenders, they use a more woman appropriate credit scoring system, taking into consideration different life situations. Women's Venture Fund (WVF) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development of women owned small businesses by combining training, funding, and mentoring. WVF offers micro loans up to $15,000 to low-income women in underserved communities exclusively in New York City. They help women who are unable to obtain loans through traditional financial institutions. WVF has plenty of outside resources they can refer you to if you have a business outside of New York City.
